August 17, 2012

I’ve grown to like the ritual of Friday posts because it mentally wraps up the week for me and I get to wish you sweet people a nice weekend. But this Friday I was helping Yuval prep and cook for a family dinner and ran out of time. I’m actually writing this post on Sunday (the 19th). (These are the days when I wonder why oh why I decided to try blogging every day this year.)

The dinner was in honor of Yuval’s distant family that is in town from France, a 7-year old boy and his father. They were also here last summer when it was the boy’s first visit to Israel. The boy fell head over heels for his cousins and their life in the kibbutz, so much that I won’t be surprised if he comes back every summer from now on.

It’s too bad that I don’t get to communicate with him so much, but I personally think there are very few things cuter than a 7-year old boy talking away in French 🙂

Here’s when I normally wish you a great weekend… but it’s Sunday, so I hope you had a nice weekend, friends.

Much love,

I’m glad you don’t post every day. It makes your posts when they do appear, that much more special.

      Aw, thanks Lorne! 🙂
That being said, please bear with me as I try to post every day for the rest of the year… this mission has definitely made the quality of my posts suffer but I know that without it I would post much, much, less. (I’m a lazy bastard.) So I’m going to continue with it because I somehow decided it was a good idea back in January and I’m also a stubborn bastard!

OK. I do like when you post simply a photo. I appreciate what you convey visually as much as I do literally.
