17 July 2012 (Mysterious fruit)

July 17, 2012

I couldn’t resist picking up this mysterious fruit from the kolbo today.

According to the Hebrew sign, its name is patiya.

The dark pink skin (gorgeous color!) peeled off easily, and inside was white flesh with edible black seeds, which had a bland (not too sweet or bitter) but addictive taste.

The skin was so beautiful.

P.S. I updated another entry from France today: 6 July 2012 (Magical Provence…Day 1)

Much love,
Kaori

Hiya! I believe this is called Dragonfruit. You can find it in Singapore. It’s not available in Japan?

No I’ve never seen it in Japan! Love the name, it’s perfect.
Singapore seems like it has a lot of culinary delights to offer!
