March 6, 2012

Just two days ago we shivered in the snow, and today it got warm enough during the day for short sleeves.

Suddenly warm days like this gives me a sense of hope for some reason, a sense of anticipation, a feeling that something good is going to happen. Maybe it’s smelling spring and associating it with new and exciting things, as well as my mind trying to recall good memories of past spring seasons that are tucked way back in my subconsciousness.

It’s also a good thing it got so warm because all the schools had their Purim parties today and a lot of the high school kids’ costumes showed a lot more skin than usual. My boss’s daughter straightened her curly hair and dressed up as a bumble bee and my other co-worker’s daughter dressed up as a lady bug. Both girls wore short leggings underneath their yellow and red tutus paired with flip flops. (Just seeing their bare feet made me shiver… I feel so old!) I also saw two guys that wore nothing but diapers and fairy headbands. I guess there will always be that one boy in class that shows up in a diaper for costume day! 🙂

仮装の日におしめしてくる男の子ってどのクラスにもいるんですね 笑

Much love,
