2 March 2012 (Snow and chocolate)

March 2, 2012

Photo of Jerusalem in snow by Olivier Fitoussi from Haaretz.com

Sheleg, or snow, has been a major topic here in Israel for the last few days. Unfortunately we haven’t gotten any of the white flurries where we live, just cold temperatures.

So what’s a better way to prepare for a cold weekend than to pile on blankets, stock up on good books and movies, and make something rich and chocolaty? Actually, forget everything else, as long as there is something chocolaty, I think I’ll get by. (And every time I cook or bake something sweet I realize that the actual making part makes the eating part so much more tasty and rewarding.)

Have a nice weekend, friends.

Much love,
Kaori

Those heart pots are so great! I love little things like that. And the snow! Good weekend, for sure. I hope, though, it stops raining soon! It has been almost a whole week of nonstop rain here in Rehovot. (As I write this, the sun popped out finally!)

I know, I love those hearts! I got to choose them out of a whole array of gifts as a part of a credit card membership.
Did you enjoy the snow in Rehovot? We went to the Golan Heights, and being stuck in traffic was actually worth it for once🙂
